All Breeds Sheep Interbreed

The Champion Ram and Ewe of the Melbourne Royal Sheep Interbreed sees the best of the best from almost 20 breeds competing for the prestigious titles. 

ASSBA Breeds Interbreed

The Australian Stud Sheep Breeders Association (ASSBA) breeds compete for the title of Best ASSBA Breeds Ram and Ewe across various age groups. All first prize winners in ordinary breed classes for the following breeds are eligible to compete: Charolais, Lincoln, English, Leicester, Border Leicester, Romney, Cheviot, Southdown, Shropshire, Dorset Horn, Ryeland, Hampshire Down, Dorset Down, Wiltshire Horn, South Suffolk, Suffolk, South Dorset Down, East Friesian, Wiltipoll, Persian, Aussiedowns and Australian Finnsheep. 

Sheep Schools’ and Youth Competition

This competition allows the next generation of sheep producers the opportunity to judge and handle a wide variety of sheep breeds and hone their skills under the guidance of professionals.
