Best in Show awarded at Royal Melbourne Show All Breeds Championship Show

Supreme Champion Tullane Pomp N Ceremony named Best in Show at All Breeds Championship Show

Irish Setter SUPREME CHAMPION TULLANE POMP N CEREMONY exhibited by Ms C Paine, has been awarded Best in Show at the prestigious Royal Melbourne Show All Breeds Championship Show today.

Presented by The Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria (RASV) in conjunction with DOGS Victoria, the Royal Melbourne Show All Breeds Championship Show is one the largest of its kind in the southern hemisphere, with over 3700 entries and 1,500 exhibitors competing for a prestigious Royal Melbourne blue ribbon.

In other awards presented today ‘Best Puppy in Show’ was awarded to OLDIRON YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE, Airedale Terrier exhibited by Mr R & Mrs A Sorraghan, while ‘Best Baby Puppy in Show’ went to WHITEWARRIOR ICE WOLF STANDING Alaskan Malamute exhibited by Mr B White.

“On behalf of RASV, I congratulate the exhibitors and connections of Supreme Champion Tullane Pomp N Ceremony, on being awarded Best in Show, in such a high calibre, world-class competition,” said Mr O’Sullivan.

“The Royal Melbourne Show All Breeds Championship Show is one of the feature events at the Royal Melbourne Show attracting not only outstanding entries from all over Victoria and interstate but also the very best judges from around the world.”

An expert international panel including Mr Svend Lovenkjaer (Denmark), Mrs Yolanda Nagler-Magal (Romania), Mr Hiroshi Kamisato (Japan) and Mr Denis Kuzelj (Bulgaria), oversaw the 2016 Royal Melbourne Show All Breeds Championship Dog Show judging.

“The All Breeds Championship Dog Show is one of the leading dog shows in the world, and we are very pleased to have had, once again, such a strong panel of experts judging the competition. The show continues to grow in participation and reputation due to the outstanding dedication of our committee and stewards and the valuable support of ADVANCE.”

The Royal Melbourne Show is Victoria’s largest and more iconic annual community event and continues until Tuesday 27 September 2016 at Melbourne Showgrounds.
