2014 Royal Melbourne Show

The 2014 Royal Melbourne Show is shaping up to be a spectacular event, with high levels of interest and participation in the blue ribbon competitions and an amazing line up of entertainment.

Melbourne Showgrounds will be alive with the Royal Melbourne Show when it opens later this month, for 12 days of sheer fun, discovery and excitement, from Saturday 20 September to Wednesday 1 October.

With the true stars of the Show being the magnificent animals and competitors vying for a coveted blue ribbon, the Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria (RASV) is delighted to report a solid number of entries in all competitions, with a record-high 4000 submissions to the Art, Craft and Cookery exhibition and more that 2700 nominations for the Horses in Action program.

In other exciting news for the 2014 event, for the first time, visitors to the Royal Melbourne Show will have the chance to see arguably the world’s most beloved characters, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, with the Disney Rockin’ the House with Mickey Mouse stage show at the Entertainment Dome.

With a packed schedule of shows, appearances and performances, show-goers will also be treated to the Rooftop Express Arena spectacular, celebrating the uniqueness of the Australian outback through world first stunts, true blue Aussie comedy and awe-inspiring horsemanship.

It would not be possible to develop and deliver such a unique, large-scale event without the valuable support and contribution of Principal Partners and Sponsors. The RASV is delighted to welcome Jayco, Australia’s favourite caravan manufacturer as a new Principal Partner and the naming rights sponsor of the popular Animal Nursery. Jayco join Woolworths, Coca-Cola and Mars PetCare as Principal Partners of the 2014 Royal Melbourne Show.
