Teesdale’s Ian Nash has taken home the coveted G.J Sheppard Memorial Award for Supreme Champion in Show at the Royal Melbourne Poultry Show over the weekend.
Mr Nash was awarded more than 40 titles during the Show, including Grand Champion Softfeather Light, Section Champion Standard Softfeather Silkie and Best Bantam Hardfeather O.E.G Blue Breasted Duckwing.
Supreme Champion Pair or Trio in Show went to Woods Bros Poultry Stud from Greenvale, Victoria, while Reserve Supreme Champion in Show went to Andy Macdonald from Seaford, Victoria.
Held on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 July at Melbourne Showgrounds, the 2015 Royal Melbourne Poultry Show saw more than 1607 birds from 121 exhibitors compete.

Conducted annually by RASV, The Royal Melbourne Poultry Show provides breeders with an opportunity to benchmark their birds with a full range of Australian Poultry Standard classes available to enter.
The 2015 Royal Melbourne Poultry Show was presided over by a team of respectable and recognised judges.
More than 100 breeds of poultry, including ducks, geese, guinea fowl and turkeys, were judged across 1,000 classes.
