The Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria (RASV) would like to congratulate next generation farmer, Jonathan Dyer, on his 2015 Nuffield Scholarship.
Having won the prestigious scholarship last year, Jonathan is underway with the program, which includes extensive international travel as he explores his selected research topic: Investigating the possibilities ‘Big Data’ creates for improving farm practice and profitability.
RASV identified Jonathan, a grains farmer from Kaniva, as an emerging leader in Victorian agriculture in 2012 when he was selected as an RASV Next Generation delegate at the Royal Agricultural Society of the Commonwealth Conference in Zambia.
RASV CEO Mark O’Sullivan recently caught up with Jonathan at the Heart of Victoria dinner and Jonathan expressed his sincere gratitude for the opportunity provided to him in 2012. “RASV opened my eyes to global agriculture” he said, “and it’s because of RASV that I have had a look-in at further opportunities like the Nuffield Scholarship”.
RASV wishes Jonathan well on his adventures and looks forward to following his successes into the future.
