The AgriVictoria State of Opportunity Summit, held for its inaugural year in June 2015, provided pathways for over 240 industry professionals to map and build the future of Victoria’s diverse agri-economy.
Growers, producers, processors and industry professionals along the value chain were invited to attend the Summit on Thursday 11 June at the Park Hyatt Hotel in Melbourne.
The AgriVictoria State of Opportunity Summit placed itself as an unparalleled opportunity to forge vital domestic and international connections, demonstrated how to become investment ready and identified new market opportunities for Victorian farmers, producers and industry professionals from across the food and fibre value chains.
The summit was delivered in collaboration between The Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria (RASV), The Victorian Farmers Federation (VFF), ANZ, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), The Victorian Agribusiness Council (VAC) and The Global Foundation (TGF).
AgriVictoria comprised six compelling sessions, boasting an array of distinguished speakers and discussions covering topics from exporting to marketing and finance.
The list of notable speakers included PWC Partner Andrew Parker, Vicki Sher, Marketing Manager of Beefcorp International and Sher Wagyu, Justin Giddings, CEO of Avalon Airport, and many others with relevant business experience in Australia and abroad.
RASV CEO, Mark O’Sullivan said the event presented guests with the opportunity to gain an understanding of potential capital markets.
“AgriVictoria gave guests the chance to explore new markets by engaging with international business networks, with a particular focus on the booming Asian food market,” said Mr O’Sullivan.
“With over 240 agribusiness professionals in attendance, the AgriVictoria State of Opportunity Summit looked at pushing unprecedented growth and building Victoria’s agri-economy toward 2020.”
