The premiere event in Australian agriculture is back in 2014 – “Agriculture: The Heart of Victoria”.
The Agriculture: Heart of Victoria dinner, delivered in collaboration with the Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria (RASV) and the Victorian Farmers Federation (VFF) will be held on Thursday 12 June at Melbourne Showgrounds.
Last year’s event brought together more than 650 delegates in the agricultural industry - representing its people, its businesses and its communities in a celebration of food and fibre.
This year looks to be bigger and better than ever before and is themed trade and investment.
Victorian farmers are the most productive in the country. Victoria’s food and agriculture industries are our largest export sector. Together they contribute more than $9.4 billion to the State’s economy and employ more than 145,000 people.
Melbourne is the freight and logistics capital of Australia with the Port of Melbourne at the centre of it all. There is more food and beverage transported in and out of Melbourne than any other city.
ABC Landline presenter and rural champion, Pip Courtney will return as MC for this prestigious event. A first class and truly Victorian menu will also wow delegates as we toast Victoria’s agricultural elite.
Join us in 2014 at the recently upgraded Expo Hall at Melbourne Showgrounds on Thursday, 12 June to celebrate the vibrant and dynamic Victorian agricultural industry that continues to be the envy of the world.
