A new awards program has been developed recognising the growing national spirits and liqueurs industry with the Australian Distilled Spirits Awards (ADSA) opening for entry on 2 December.
The establishment of these awards, supported by the Australian Distillers Association, presents a valuable opportunity for local distillers and spirit producers to independently benchmark their beverages in an emerging domestic market.
Classes for entry include: Whisky, Gin, Vodka, Brandy, Rum, Liqueurs and Alternative Spirits with all categories eligible for the Champion Australian Distiller Award. More information can be found on the Australian Distilled Spirits Awards page.
Judging will take place in February with the awards presentation to be held as part of ‘High Spirits’ within the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival on 7 March.
