RASV members who are involved in agriculture are encouraged to have their say to help grow the competitiveness, farm-gate profitability and prosperity of the sector.
Input on a range of issues such as (but not limited to) food security, access to finance, regional communities and reducing inefficient regulation will be compiled and submitted to Government to help guide the development of its agricultural White Paper.
The White Paper will drive the long-term agricultural policies of the government and ensure Australia’s agriculture sector remains a significant contributor to the economy and local communities. The Paper will also help identify pathways and approaches for growing farm profitability and boosting agriculture’s contribution to economic growth, trade, innovation and productivity.
For further information on inputting into the White Paper visit agriculturalcompetitiveness.dpmc.gov.au.
Submissions close 17 April 2014.
