Entry Prerequisites

To ensure that you have the best experience submitting your Royal Melbourne Show online entries please ensure you have done the following and have any information required at hand:

  • Read the Schedule and are familiar with the 2017 Horses in Action classes, eligibility requirements, and conditions of entry. Qualifying performances are required for most sections. For more information on performance requirements please refer to the Horses in Action Schedule.
  • Have a valid email address. It is mandatory to provide an email address for online entry.
  • Have all appropriate documentation on hand, including but not limited to registration papers, birth certificates and performance cards.
  • Have a RASV Login Id, which is your email address. This is required to initiate an online entry.  Previous Horses in Action exhibitors can use the email address previously provided and reset the password using the FORGOT YOUR PASSWORD link.  Or as a first-time exhibitor you can use CREATE LOGIN to create and verify your Login Id/password combination.  Previous Horses in Action login Id’s are no longer valid for the Royal Melbourne Show.
  •  If you are an RASV member, or competed at the 2016 Royal Melbourne Horse Show, the login created will be applicable for the Horses in Action competition.
  • All exhibits that have previously been entered in the Royal Melbourne Show Horses in Action competition have been made available on the new online entry system. Once you have selected the class that you wish to enter, the system will automatically filter all animals based on the applicable genders, you will then be able to select ‘New Horse’ or ‘Search for Horse’. When you select ‘Search for Horse’ you can search by name or registration number. Once you have found your horse, you will not need to complete any of their details.
  • You have read and understand the RASV General Regulations and the Special Regulations for the Horses in Action competition and agree to be bound by them and to abide by all decisions of the RASV in relation to the competition.

Membership and entry fees can be submitted and paid for at the same time. The process is:

  •  Login to the RASV website. Create a Login Id if necessary.
  •  Choose the Membership menu and select 'Renew or Join'.
  •  Follow the wizard steps to provide your details and select a Membership Type.
  •  Add the membership to the Shopping Cart, but do not pay.
  •  Return to the RASV Home page, and navigate to Royal Melbourne Horses In Action Competition.
  •  Follow the Enter Online wizard to submit your entries, and add to the Shopping Cart.
  •  In the Shopping Cart you will have both your Membership and Competition Entries, with the membership discounts applied.
  •  Select Pay Now and complete payment for both in a single credit card transaction.

Online payments can be made using Visa or Master Card. Please have your card ready to finalise your entry. On successful submission of your online entry you will receive an entry acknowledgement, which you should check carefully, and a Tax Invoice.
