There’s nothing like winning a prestigious blue ribbon in the Horses in Action competition at the 2017 Royal Melbourne Show. RASV is committed to enhancing the exhibitor experience every year. In 2017, you can look forward to some new and improved classes, in addition to returning distinguished favourites.

2017 Schedule – What’s New

RASV is pleased to advise that the Led Stock Horses classes return in 2017 and in addition, Mare and Gelding classes have been introduced for Open Galloways, Show Hunter Ponies, Galloways and Hacks.

Grand Parade Trophy for the most successful Open Galloway, the Lindsay McLean Memorial Trophy for the most successful Show Hunter Pony under 14 hands and Racing Victoria Off The Track Spring Fashions at the Show, Led OTT Thoroughbred.

RASV is accepting Show Horse Council National Height Certificates at 2017 Show.

Sporting Horses Australian Championships – Tuesday 3 October

FEI World Cup Jumping

The FEI World Cup Jumping is a true test of athleticism and skill as riders and horses tackle a world-class jumping course with obstacles up to 1.60 metres high. Australia’s best showjumping riders and horses battle it out to win the 2017 Royal Melbourne Show World Cup Trophy and gain valuable points where the overall series winner will represent Australia at the 2018 World Cup Final. There is also $10,000 in prize money on offer.

Garryowen Equestrienne Turnout

One of Australia’s most celebrated horse showing events, the Garryowen Equestrienne Turnout, will be run on Sunday 1 October in 2017. The event features some of Australia’s best female show riders who will compete for the Royal Melbourne Show glory and a place in history.
