Polwarth Sheep Breeders’ Association of Australia (Victoria Branch) Perpetual Challenge

Awarded to the most attractive Polwarth fleece in the Show. Each year the winner’s name is to be inscribed on the trophy, valued at $1,500. To be eligible for this trophy, ram fleeces must not weigh less than 4.9kg and ewe fleeces no less than 3.4kg.
 

The Henry W. Hopkins Memorial Award

The award is for the highest points and can be drawn from either the skirted fleece or lambs’ wool classes. The trophy is supported by Mr D Hopkins is awarded to a first time exhibitor as an encouragement award.
 

Criteria

All Skirted and District sheep fleeces and all alpaca fleeces will be micron, staple length, strength and yield tested by the Australian Wool Testing Authority Ltd (AWTA). Test results will be used during the judging process.
 
An Exhibit in the District Fleece Competition must have previously won a Championship at a District Agricultural Show.
