2017 Royal Melbourne Show Beef Cattle Judges

This year, RASV is delighted to welcome experienced cattle judge, David Bondfield to the Royal Melbourne Show Beef Cattle Competition.

Mr Bondfield’s family were among the first breeders of Charolais in Australia, operating the Palgrove stud on properties across QLD and NSW.

He has also judged stud and commercial cattle at every major Royal Show in Australia, national breed shows in New Zealand, Canada, USA and Scotland and has judged World Hereford, Braford, Galloway, Charolais and Limousin Conferences.

David will be judging the Speckle Park Feature Show at the Royal Melbourne Show this year.

The Royal Melbourne Show prides itself on the quality and experience of judges invited to attend, and there is no greater honour in Australia than judging at a Royal Show. Breed Societies and industry representatives are invited to submit nominations for consideration by the Beef Cattle Committee. The Committee reviews the submission, and the experience and credentials of those nominated early in the year. Judges are confirmed and announced once entries have closed.

The Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria (RASV) also encourages nominations of Associate Judges to foster the development and education of the next generation. Associate Judges work with a Judge during competitions, and learn from the experience and expertise of their mentor.

If you would like to be part of the judge and associate judge nomination process, please contact your Breed Society for more information.
