Beef Cattle

The Royal Melbourne Beef Cattle competition receives more than 700 entries each year and offers exhibitors the opportunity to take home a prestigious trophy or blue ribbon, receive invaluable feedback from industry experts and be part of Victoria’s largest and most iconic annual community event, the Royal Melbourne Show.

The Weekly Times Livestock Pavilion plays host to Victoria’s beef industry, including over 500 cattle being shown over 11 days of the Show. Producers, brokers and industry body representatives are in attendance to celebrate the contribution breeds make to Victorian agriculture. The competition provides participants with the opportunity to network with industry peers and benchmark the quality of their livestock.

The Royal Melbourne Show Beef Cattle Competition delivers an exceptional exhibitor experience, with the highest calibre of judges, exhibitor facilities and results technology.

Please note: all Exhibits must be tested for Pestivirus (Bovine Viral Diarrhoea Virus) and certified as non PI (Persistently Infected). Exhibitors must provide a signed veterinary certificate or laboratory report, listing animals and their identification upon entry.
